Dr. Yeo Tong Hong is a Senior Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Neurologist. His clinical expertise includes management of children with neurological conditions as well as performing ultrasound-guided pharmacological modulation therapy. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Paediatrics & Neuroscience Centre at Mount Alvernia Hospital.

Dr. Yeo completed his Basic Specialist Training at the Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff, followed by Higher Specialist Training at Southampton Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. He furthered his expertise through a national selection process and completed his Subspecialty Programme in Paediatric Neurology at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospitals.
In 2012, he was awarded Completion of Certified Training (CCT) in Paediatric Neurology & Paediatrics by the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (RCPCH) and the General Medical Council (UK). He was elected a Fellow of the RCPCH in 2014 and served as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow from 2012 to 2016.
Dr. Yeo gained extensive clinical experience across leading paediatric centres in the United Kingdom. He served as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, where he helped establish the Paediatric Complex Motor Disorders Service, Neuro-Rehabilitation Service, and Pharmacological Modulation Therapy Service.
He also held an Honorary Consultant Paediatric Neurologist position at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital and Evelina Children’s Hospital in London, where he further developed his skills in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for complex movement disorders in children.
Dr. Yeo has been instrumental in developing specialised services for children with complex neurological and movement disorders in Singapore. At KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, he helped establish the Paediatric Complex Motor Disorders and Movement Disorder Service, as well as the Paediatric Integrated Neuro-Rehabilitation Service.
He has been actively involved in clinical research, contributing to numerous publications in reputable journals and presenting at national and international meetings. Dr. Yeo has received several research grants, including the MOH Singapore Health Service Development Programme (HSDP) Award and the KKH Paediatric ACP Tan Cheng Lim Innovation Grant.
In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Yeo is engaged in medical education, holding academic positions as a Clinical Assistant Professor with SingHealth Duke-NUS, Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS), and Senior Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. His contributions to clinical service and education have been recognised with awards such as the Service of the Heart Awards and the SingHealth Quality Service Award (Gold) in 2018 and 2024.
