About Dr. Ong Yew Kwang

Dr. Ong graduated with honors from Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland, and completed his ENT specialist training in Singapore, becoming a full-fledged specialist in 2008. He was awarded the gold medal in the ENT exit examination. He furthered his subspecialty training in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under Professors Carl Snyderman and Ricardo Carrau.

During his fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Dr. Ong gained extensive experience in managing complex sinus and skull base pathologies, working alongside leading experts in the field. He has performed over 1,000 sinus and endoscopic skull base surgeries since 2011.

Dr. Ong served as a Senior Consultant and Director of Clinical Service at the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the National University Hospital (NUH) from 2008 to 2022. He has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate medical students and postgraduate ENT residents as an Associate Professor. He has authored close to 50 publications and three book chapters. Dr. Ong continues to advance his knowledge, having attained a Master of Medicine in Sleep Medicine and a Postgraduate Certificate in Allergy.
